Future of screen technologies. A regular day of 2014

Ok, I must confess - 3 years ago I was absolutely sure that a mass spread of color display on cell phone would have taken another 2-3 years... Instead we have retina display of iPad, LED monitors and 3D TVs...
I wish I knew... And now I give you your chance... Have a look at the future of screen technologies... experience a normal day of 2014...

And you can also have a look at the pics from the video...

Morning coffee with zero gravity. A trendy cup by Xu54.

In case morning coffee is more than just a quick gulp of hot envigorating liguid, but more of a meditating process of sippping energizing drink, then the zero gravity cup by Xu54 is the very thing you need.
Cool looking, with a nice print and amazing features...Just place it in a regular way when you use it, or leave it in zero gravity state when it's unused or you are at least half-way done with coffee.

Hand-picked inspirations of the day: Day 26

The last Saturday of this summer... The greatest day of the week after Friday... Actually it comes right after Friday :) Guees there's some magic in it :) So, then let's enjoy these magic inspiration of the day that has gone.

RETROSPECTIVE
Another proof retro is hot. A great set of retro images and backgrounds designed by Norrasak Ramasute of YouWorkForThem. I guess I can't express the idea behind the project better than it's done on the behance page of the retrsopective
"Retrospective, an image collection traveling back in time to reincarnate patterns of design periods long forgotten. Old fashioned, retro, timeless, classic, or whatever you wish to call them, these images will bring a unique and aged feeling to any of your projects.

ORGANIC IMPRESSION
Today I was really impressed by great work of Marcel Buerkle. It's not just great design of logo and packaging but is really awesome rendering of the packaging with lots of details. Really impressive work. Just have a look.

It's really hard to believe those are just rendering and not real objects.
See much more of this great packaging concept on behance

EGG CHAIR OFFICE

Idea of an egg office is definitely not new, as well as an idea to use a close to perfect egg shape for different product designs. But this time, an egg shaped personal workroom is to be placed in a Society’s new business centre. A creative idea to maximize privacy in a public place.

Thanks appartmenttherapy

Hand-picked inspirations of the day: Day 21

Hi! New week is here! Hope you enjoyed the best of the last week and here's already a new portion of cool stuff for you.

HINDU GODS AS YOU HAVE NEVER IMAGINED THEM
That was a long titile:) And a little book to follow :)
I was just carried away with this book and great illustrations for it - "A Little Book of Hindu Deities" from Ghee Happy.
You just have a look and I'm absolutely sure that you will at least have a look at the Ghee Happy's site or maybe even buy this book for yourself.

Aren't the illustrations great? Do also have a look at the store, since there are many other cool prints there and some are even for free.

RETRO PRINTS FOREVER
Vintage and retro are already a trend and noone will doubt it, Print ads or even entire rebranding process use retro and vntage cliches and style to make things stand out among the plethora of web 2.0 stuff online and offline. I'm for vintage myself and do try to use it when possible in new designs I'm making.
So, here are some really nice retro posters from a Spanish designer Ruben Córdoba Schwaneberg.

See more great retro posters of his or check his portfolio for more amazing works

BEAUTY OF RAIN
From graphic design, let's move to photography and an amazing photoset by NY photographer Navid Baraty.
Great shots of rain made in San Francisco and Japan will definitely leave you impressed and make you rethink the rainy weather from artistic perspective.

See the rest of rainy pictures from the "Rain" photo series

PUZZLING BOARD
A 3 in 1 puzzling cutting board. Use it on its own... supersize when you need more cutting space... or carry some tasty snacks and  a glass of wine in one hand. Ain't it handy?

SNOOZER PILLOW
Well, and to finish with useful things for today. A pillow for lonely people. Whenever you feel like you need to hug someone and curl into a sofa or bed, grab your snoozer pillow. The only drawback - it can't hug you back.

Like it? it's yours for $70. Thanks novate.ru for the pics.

Well, that was a fresh portion of inspirations. I personally really love the book and its illustrations...But I'm sure there'll be even more great things tomorrow. See you!
