5 best inspirations of the week. Week 14

Sorry for not so many inspirations this week, but final works on home office took more time than I thought... Yet, I can't leave you without the selection of the week's best inspirations, so here they are!

Dogs photos like you have never seen before. Must see!

If the previous set of dogs photos was touchinng and mainly because capturing the reality as is, this one made by Tim Flach is totally different... He depicts dogs in a really unusual and creative way...  These photos have so much in them... emotions, feelings... a real portraits... not worse than those of human...

Thanks sweetstation for inspiration

Silence of the dogs. Really touching photos by Martin Usborne

If Silence of the Lambs was one of the most thrilling movies of its time, then this photoset by Martin Usborne is really one of the most touching among the dogs photos that I had a chance to see... An idea is so obvious... we see it really often but never pay much attention to it... and when all these moments are placed together it makes the impression even stronger...

Even more touching photos...

I'm a forest. Somewhat surreal but so damn cool animation by Alex Schulz

Seems videos are integral part of todays inspirations... Well, why not :) Especially when they are so nice and unusual like this one. "I'm a forest" is a short animation (made in stop motion technique) of a paper forest made by a photographer Alex Schulz...
Watch the video, and then definitely go and see the making of on behance profile of Alex... Won't regret... I promise...

Alternative evolution. Weird animals illustrations

Have you ever thought why we have species that look like this? Why elepahnt is elephant and why it can not fly? Why rabbits give no milk?
Well, even if you haven't thought it, which I actually doubt, but lots of artists long long ago and up to know have been thinking, creating and visualizing what an alternative evolution could be..

There's an animal inside us. Nice video by the Chap

Let's rock the day with this simple yet great video by the Chap which was created and directed by the guys from  Non-Format studio.
Take Bigstock site photos, mix them with creativity and some nice typography and you have a really cool video. Enjoy!

Animarium. A place to hang out. A site to follow.

Thanks to monsieur bandit, I today discovered an amazing site which, as you can guess from its name, is totally devoted to animals. So, welcome to Animarium!

Animals and animals and again animals... Prints, drawings, sketches, toys, videos... different media, different styles... Lots of great designs and arts! I absolutely recommend to add their RSS.
Here are just some sneak peaks of what you can find there

Just don't wait. Go and explore the world of Animarium!

Inspired by Internet. Day 11

Day 11 of daily inspirations... and seems Internet is never tired to provide new and exciting things on a regular basis :)
So, why not to take them, to filter and to share with you. Enjoy!

SLIDE AN ANIMAL. GET A BOX.
An amazing collection of wooden animals from Areaware. Wooden toys have always been a part of exciting childhood... until plastic came.... Yeah, plastic soldiers were way more cooler than basic shapes of the wooden ones I used to have. But the feel on the wood... the smell... the touch.... Do buy wooden toys! They are cool!
Especially, when they are more than just toys... they are boxes!

See more toy-boxes or visit Areaware for even more great things. Highly recommend!

GO EAST!
One more creative discovery of the week. Polish born designer who lives and works in Germany Roman Klonek.
A guy who took woodcut print (as for me a hell of a difficult thing as opposed to simply printing an Illustrator designed image) to produce pictures which are mix of propaganda, cartoons and folk art. A mind-blowing mix! Just have a look.

Ain't those really cool, huh? See more of Klonek's works, as well as glimpses of the woodcut printing process or visit his personal site for more info.

GET SOME PET FACES FOR CUPBOARD.
Cute, weird, funky...different words can be applied to Takkoda's pet faces... In any case they won't leave you indifferent...

Cheer up with even more famous faces and professions expressed by the pet faces... Check if you guessed all of them right by the way. And if you are inspired enough, grab some for yourself

BEARS ATTACK!
After visiting Areaware site, I just couldn't resist and post some of the great bears of theirs... Really awesome toys!

See even more of these great bears here.

This day turned to be full of somewhat silly inspirations, but isn't it a perfect set for Friday? Especially Friday 13th ;)
See you tomorrow! Have fun!
